Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Demonstrate how the early chapters of Genesis provide a foundational framework for understanding God’s covenantal relationship with humanity.
Express how the creation of man and the covenant of works in Eden point to humanity’s ultimate goal: eternal, face-to-face communion with the Triune God.
Compare and contrast the first Adam and the Second Adam in terms of their obedience to God’s covenant and the resulting consequences.
Understand how all of Scripture—beginning in Genesis—is oriented toward the glory of God and his heavenly temple dwelling.
